Rheumatoid Awareness Day

People…we have a day! February 2, 2014 is Rheumatoid Awareness Day. As most of us with RA know, the majority of people don’t understand what rheumatoid arthritis is. Because the disease is commonly presumed to be a type of arthritis, awareness is lacking, causing problems with disability accommodations, clinical care, healthcare costs and research funding.

Click this link to see how you can participate in Rheumatoid Awareness Day and help move people toward a greater understanding of what this chronic illness is. With a greater awareness comes more research and hopefully better medications and even a cure.

JOIN Twitter chat Saturday Feb 1 10 a.m. EDT with patients, advocates, clinicians, and investigators. Just use #rheum to view or tweet.
